Life doesn’t turn like the pages of a book…
February 19, 2013 - Author: Bernadette Saddik - 3 CommentsNot the kind of book we imagine.
It is a work of art the Father brilliantly creates.
It is a stunning blueprint, a gorgeous picture, an awesome performance.
So let us pray that our will is God’s will, and bring forth beautiful light in the darkness of this world.
Yes, darkness will come. But in His mercy, He blesses us through that. Each moment is either bright, or it is not, in which case the light seems brighter.
When we fall, rising makes us closer to the Shepherd, as He gently lifts us and holds us nearer. Not only so…
He takes every arrow evil throws at us and turns it around a hundred times.
Evil may be a near infinite power, but God is infinite, and He, with His flock, prevails in His masterpiece plan.
But even with His kindness, I sometimes still feel so very broken, not at all marvelous. Then, He lovingly reminds me that…
Courage, true courage, is the courage to say, “I am weak.” That
Bravery, true bravery is to ask for help.
Wisdom, to accept that help. And
Knowledge, to know that it is not by my power.
Isn’t that a relief?
“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:4-7 NIV
