The Closet of the Mind
June 14, 2013 - Author: Bernadette Saddik - No CommentsInto the dark corners,
Dusting out the cobwebs.
Cautiously approaching confidence.
Into the junk drawer,
Sorting out the twisted mess.
Gingerly untangling peace.
Into the creaky shelf,
Tightening a loose screw.
Carefully fixing patience.
Into the cluttered case,
Searching for a lost Book,
Gently cradling hope.
Lord, won’t you be my cleaner?
Won’t you be my handyman?
Please, cleaning out this closet of my mind.
Lord, won’t You give me clarity?
Won’t You give me charity?
Please, cleaning out this closet of my mind.
Lord, won’t You waken in me hope?
Won’t You waken in me faith?
Please, granting me security in Your tender arms.
In Your tender arms,
Where I’ll find calm in the closet of my mind.
Oh, in that stubborn closet of my mind!
