Colossians 3:12-14 NKJV

"Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection."

The Blessing of a Friend

August 1, 2013 - Author: Bernadette Saddik

We’ve been friends for a long time.
We’ve experienced good and bad.
I’ve helped you in sticky situations.
And you have ‘got my back’.

But now a moment has come,
And I must rely on you like never before.

Yes I have pain,
Much pain
Yes, I have sadness,
Anger, and rage.

But it is now
That I need you more than ever.

When I cry,
Please cry with me.
When I shout,
Please shout with me.

I don’t want you to know.
I don’t want you to understand.

The burden is mine to bear,
My nightmares are mine,
As yours are your own
But please, as I walk, don’t leave.

The path, it’s hard and lonely,
But with your presence, the shadows don’t look so dark.

I don’t need your words.
All I need is your love.
And with your love
I will have the world.

Because in your love,
I see the Saviour’s face.
Because in your love,
I rest in the Saviour’s arms.

May God bless and protect you
As He has done to me through you.

“Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.” 2 Thessalonians 3:16 KJV
