Colossians 3:12-14 NKJV

“Put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.”

Salvation for Our Weary Souls | Christ’s Invitation

September 26, 2016 - Author: Bernadette Saddik - No Comments

“[Jesus] said unto them, ‘They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.'” Matthew 9:12-13 KJV

We the broken, bleeding, the torn;
We the grieving, sobbing, the mourning;
We the pleading, praying, the worn —

Let us listen to Christ’s invitation.

“Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:29-30 KJV

Let us choose salvation for our weary souls.

“…’Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.'” from Mark 9:24 KJV

Let us lift our hands in exaltation.

“And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.” Matthew 12:30 KJV

Let us live in service and compassion.

“And the second is like, namely this, ‘Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.’ There is none other commandment greater than these.” Matthew 12:31 KJV

Let us pursue purpose-driven aspirations.

“But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk…” 1 Corinthians 7:17 KJV

Let us seek God-gifted inspiration.

“And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment” Philippians 1:9 KJV

Being filled with adoration for He Who freed us from our soul-consuming desperation.

“To the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the beloved.” Ephesians 1:6 KJV

This is our declaration:

“Hereby know we that we dwell in Him, and He in us, because He hath given us of His Spirit. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.” 1 John 4:13-14 KJV

We the heirs, created, the children;
We the called, beloved, the strengthened;
We the undefeated, unquelled, the arisen —

Let us choose salvation for our weary souls.

“The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise Him.” Psalm 28:7 KJV

1 John 4:13-14 KJV
