Questions Deeper than Words:
Do you believe each shell grieves when visitors leave?
Do you usher with shells’ fervor t’ward the altar?
Do you suppose each shell knows it is not alone?
Do you herald with shells’ revel, “Christ prevailed!”?
Do you think those shells link to the sea as they sink?
Do you praise with shell’s upward gaze our King ablaze?
Do you feel those shells kneeled to Jesus with glad zeal?
Do you profess with shells’ boldness heaven’s pure crest?
Do we see the shells gather to sing of God’s glorious, sacred Epiphany?
“And Jesus, when He was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon Him: and lo a voice from heaven, saying, ‘This is My beloved Son, in Whom I am well pleased.'” Matthew 3:15-17 KJV
“[Jesus] answered and said unto them,
‘I tell you that, if these should hold their peace,
the stones would cry out immediately.'”
Luke 19:40 KJV
