Colossians 3:12-14 NIV

"Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity."

Hello everyone!

You may have noticed that not too many posts have been published as of late. As many of you know, my health is not ideal, and it’s been a bit difficult.

Please bear with me if posts are not very frequent–but I am still posting :)

Thank you so much for your support!

Here are a couple passages for today:

“His Eye Is on the Sparrow” is a beautiful hymn reminding us about the extent of God’s love. He takes care of the sparrow, so imagine how much more He cares for us! If nothing else seems right, if nothing else makes sense, this is a powerful reminder that we are never alone.

Ephesians 3:14-20 NIV is Paul’s prayer to the Ephesians. May God grant you the blessings of this passage.

May your day be brighter and your dreams sweeter

Hello everyone!

It’s that time of year when our eyes are particularly set to giving. It’s a wonderful focus all year round!

The following two passages, “If I can stop one heart from breaking…” by Dickinson and “The Good Samaritan” are encouraging reminders of how we can help others.

Thank you all so much for your support, and I look forward to continuing our explorations in God’s calling and peace!

Merry Christmas and God bless :)

Hello everyone!

I’m back. My break took longer than anticipated. I’ll start out with a couple passages that have really helped me find my direction the past few months.

The first is the passage, “Footprints in the Sand.” It may be hard to see Christ’s presence in our lives when looking back on hard times, and even harder when going through them. But, the peace and joy that comes with realizing that He Himself carries us makes the burden possible to bear.

The next passage is “Amazing Grace” by John Newton. Beyond the famous (as it deserves) first verse is a declaration of God’s constant presence in our lives. “He will my Shield and Portion be/As long as life endures…”

Thanks for having me back, and God bless

Hello everyone!

We all go through some time in our lives where it feels like Christ is not with us. We wonder if He abandoned us, or if we sinned beyond His capacity to forgive, or if He doesn’t care anymore. Well, be comforted that none of these is true! (Nor are any other reasons you think!)

These two passages, the excerpt on “Trial” from Imitation of Christ by Kempis and the song “Does Jesus Care” by Graeff, are wonderful reminders that Jesus will never leave us if we don’t want Him to.

God bless

Hello everyone!

Keeping our eyes fixed toward that which matters can be quite difficult. It is all to easy to get caught up in the minutia. We can’t stay focused alone, though. God is there to help us with that!

I’ve posted the poem “God’s Garden” by Robert Frost and the song “Be Thou My Vision” because they help remind me to rely on God. Hope they help you too

God bless

Hello everyone!

I’ve added two new passages: Psalm 66 and “I Need Thee Every Hour” by Hawks. Remember that in everything we do, we should do as though we are doing it for God. He is working good for us. God bless

Oh, just a reminder: terrible in KJV does not necessarily mean bad–it also means marvelous.

Hello everyone! Christ made the ultimate sacrifice, and won the biggest victory, in the epitome of love for us. Here are Romans 5:17-19 and “O Sacred Head, Now Wounded” by Clairvaux, two passages which beautifully explain His actions.

I’ve also added 2 pages to the sidebar menu. The first, “Things to do” is my compilation of what I will do as soon as I am well enough. The second, “Thank you for” is a sort of prayer to God thanking Him for the big and small in my life. Maybe you can keep your own lists of these. In any case, they are just a glimpse into who I am if you are interested.

God bless

Note: The “Recommended Books” Page

Author: Bernadette Saddik

Hello everyone!

I’ve added a new page called “Recommended Books.” It includes the title and author, a brief synopsis, and who I think would benefit most from reading it. These are just my personal opinions on books that have been significant in guiding me in my journey.

Blessings to you all
