Colossians 3:12-14 NKJV

“Put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.”

Living Words | Proclaiming Christ

April 23, 2017 - Author: Bernadette Saddik

The ever-presence of God’s Love in His Gift of Praise

If a picture is worth a thousand words
Then avert your two eyes from me when you demand silence
For countless words erupt with each shuddering gasp

Ergo miss the accompanying timbrel and dance.

If a picture is worth a thousand words
Then aim your soul’s eye beyond now when you demand answers
For countless strains roar from Saviour’s bleeding Gift

Elseways miss the revelatory mighty acts and Breath.

I see so much
I hear too much
I say enough…

Lord above all I pray
let me live these, the loudest Word amidst
the dying cacophony of the world and
the swelling harmonies of the angels…

Christ is risen.

“Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.”
Psalm 150:6 KJV

A Wondrous Life | Inspired by God’s Gifts

April 11, 2015 - Author: Bernadette Saddik

You are an inspiration.

I do not claim this lightly.

No matter where you are in life, what has happened to you, or what you’ve done, our Heavenly Father has worked so much for you, for you are precious.

You, who are made in the image of love. (Genesis 1:27)
You, whose hairs are counted by your Creator. (Luke 12:6-7)
You, who are saved by blood and victory. (Mark 14:24)

So let me repeat:

You. Are. An. Inspiration.

You can, or not, bumble around, bluster, and be befuddled.
Because you know what makes you inspiring?

Your laughter, lifting up a joyful noise unto the Lord.
Your tears, yes, Christ cried them for you and me too.
Your struggles, we are not alone.
Your victories, encouraging our faith.
Your doubts, let us lift each other up.
Your mistakes, thank you for the lessons.
Your wisdom, thank you for the guidance.

“For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us…” Romans 12:4-6a NIV

Your life is a light.
You matter.
You have a purpose.

“Ye are the light of the world…Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:14a, 16 KJV

It’s not always pretty. We may not acknowledge it.
But your life is always wondrous.

“I will praise Thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are Thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.” Psalm 139:14 KJV

So yes, you, a beautiful masterpiece,
even though sometimes broken,
You are an inspiration.

And God saw every thing that He had made, and, behold, it was very good…” Genesis 1:31a KJV

Please remember that.
Remember that Christ’s sacrifice and victory for you are not in vain.
That you, His child, are loved.

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10 KJV

Live like you are loved, because you are.
God loves you.
He lavishes you with gifts.
You, who are a gift.

As God has such blessed plans for you, so too do you inspire me.

“Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God upon every remembrance of you…” Philippians 1:2-3 KJV

And, when you recognize this power within you,
This power to inspire,

When you embrace the power of the Holy Spirit around, or in you…
This inspirational power that is rooted in Christ’s sacrificial love…
Life becomes fulfilling….
“Filled to the measure of all the fullness of God” (from Ephesians 3:19).

“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.” Romans 15:13 KJV

Jesus, take these words… | A Life of Love

March 2, 2015 - Author: Bernadette Saddik

“For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; ‘Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.'” Galatians 5:13-14 KJV

Jesus, take my ears —
Comfort with them, make patience.
Help me hear better.

Jesus, take my eyes —
Understand with them, make light.
Guide me to see more.

Jesus, take my lips —
Encourage with them, make joy.
Let me minister.

Jesus, take my feet —
Outreach with them, make brothers.
Direct me forward.

Jesus, take my hands —
Heal with them, make melodies.
Shape me to do so.

Jesus, take my heart —
Inspire with it, make kindness.
Teach me compassion.

Jesus, take my mind —
Seek with it, make discernment.
Show me Your wonders.

Jesus, here’s my life —
Fulfill my purpose in You.
I give You my love.

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, Who loved me, and gave Himself for me.” Galatians 2:20 KJV

Jesus, take these words
