Colossians 3:12-14 NKJV

“Put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.”

Living Words | Proclaiming Christ

April 23, 2017 - Author: Bernadette Saddik

The ever-presence of God’s Love in His Gift of Praise

If a picture is worth a thousand words
Then avert your two eyes from me when you demand silence
For countless words erupt with each shuddering gasp

Ergo miss the accompanying timbrel and dance.

If a picture is worth a thousand words
Then aim your soul’s eye beyond now when you demand answers
For countless strains roar from Saviour’s bleeding Gift

Elseways miss the revelatory mighty acts and Breath.

I see so much
I hear too much
I say enough…

Lord above all I pray
let me live these, the loudest Word amidst
the dying cacophony of the world and
the swelling harmonies of the angels…

Christ is risen.

“Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.”
Psalm 150:6 KJV

How is God guiding your future?

February 22, 2016 - Author: Bernadette Saddik

“Let Thy work appear unto Thy servants, and Thy glory unto their children. And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish Thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish Thou it.” Psalm 90:16-17 KJV

Hello everyone!

You know those moments when you don’t know what the next step is — what God wants for you — but you know you have all the information you need to figure it out?

Yet the answer still eludes you, and the problem grows bigger.

I know how frustrating it is.

We pray, we struggle, we cry out to God, we wrestle some more…
Then beautiful inspiration strikes.

Notice how that inspiration, that gifted moment, tastes a lot like grace?

“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.” 2 Peter 3:18 KJV

Megan Freeman has those struggles and those moments too. The link leads to her illustrative contemplation about what it means to embrace the adventure of growing in grace:

Puzzles by Megan Freeman at Life in Metaphors
“The puzzle of life is a beautiful thing. Sitting next to the Father, I scour the jumbled pile of pieces looking…”

We grow in these moments when we take off our blinders and let God show us that next step onto a firm foundation.
Those outlines of vibrant bluebells and fragrant daphne.
Those ever-filling pictures of vibrant purpose and fragrant joy.

How beautiful and empowering it is to open ourselves to the grace of God’s plans in our lives!

“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16 KJV

So, fellow explorers in faith, I ask you:

How can our lives, in the mundane, in the spectacular, reveal grace’s beauty?
How do you let God put together the puzzle pieces in your life?
What is your foundation?
How is God guiding your future?

Comment below, or you can contact me with your insight!

May your day be brighter and your dreams sweeter. God bless

“Whosoever cometh to Me, and heareth My sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: he is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.” Luke 6:47-48 KJV

Jesus, take these words… | A Life of Love

March 2, 2015 - Author: Bernadette Saddik

“For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; ‘Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.'” Galatians 5:13-14 KJV

Jesus, take my ears —
Comfort with them, make patience.
Help me hear better.

Jesus, take my eyes —
Understand with them, make light.
Guide me to see more.

Jesus, take my lips —
Encourage with them, make joy.
Let me minister.

Jesus, take my feet —
Outreach with them, make brothers.
Direct me forward.

Jesus, take my hands —
Heal with them, make melodies.
Shape me to do so.

Jesus, take my heart —
Inspire with it, make kindness.
Teach me compassion.

Jesus, take my mind —
Seek with it, make discernment.
Show me Your wonders.

Jesus, here’s my life —
Fulfill my purpose in You.
I give You my love.

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, Who loved me, and gave Himself for me.” Galatians 2:20 KJV

Jesus, take these words
